Message You blasted your engine bearings prior to coating them correct? How else are you going to promote a saturation and bond with enabling the coating to adhere and absorb into the substrate. Acid etch achieves the same result...either way it has to be done. All parts that undergo a coating process must be aluminum oxide blasted to open the surface area. It doesnt change tolerances nor removes material. Its done only to open the surface.
